No matter what level of cook you are, you can recreate my traditional soul food Sunday dinner.

Smothered Chicken

3lbs chicken
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion (sliced)
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
4 cups of water
2 packs of sazon
2 tablespoons sofrito
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon black pepper

7 Cheese Baked Mac

1lb elbow pasta
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar
1 cup mozzarella
1/2 cup fiesta blend
1/2 cup monterey jack & colby mix
1/2 cup smoked Gouda
1/2 cup Gruyère
1 1/2 tablespoons seasoning salt
1 packet Sazon
1 tablespoons smoked paprika
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon pepper

Collard Greens

12 bunches of collard greens
Smoked turkey meat
1 red bell pepper
1 medium onion
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Lawry’s seasoned salt
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon crush red peppers
A pinch of chicken bouillon

Candied Yams

3 large sweet potatoes
6 tablespoons of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1-2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Cornbread Muffins

2 boxes of jiffy
6 tablespoons of melted butter
1 cups milk
2 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup of sour cream
