RACHAEL Ray has premiered her brand-new cooking show, Meals in Minutes, but fans are upset over a key aspect of the series.
Many of the chef’s devoted followers revealed they’d love to watch her new program but can’t figure out how to find it.
Early last year, Rachael announced her self-titled talk show was ending after 17 seasons.
Since then, fans have been waiting for the TV personality to return with a new series.
That day arrived on Monday with the premiere of her show, Rachael Ray’s Meals in Minutes.
Instead of airing on various syndicated channels or Food Network, it’s on FYI Network.
Fans commented on Rachael’s social media posts to admit they had never heard of the channel and didn’t know how to find it.
Others said that even after finding it, they learned it required an add-on subscription through their cable service.
While Rachael’s followers were excited to see her back on their TVs, they said the release of the new show made it difficult for them.
CONFUSED FANS
“Glad I am not the only one who couldn’t figure out where the fyi channel is,” one fan wrote on Rachael’s Facebook post.
“I searched and although I get most channels here on satellite there’s not FYI,” a second wrote.
The user added that they “hope Food Network or HGTV picks it up.”
“Why go to a station 90% of us don’t have access to,” a third annoyed fan asked the chef.
“I already looked, I DO NOT get that channel,” said one online user. “I am so upset.”
“We love you and watching you but we can’t find the channel,” wrote another.
“This is a subscription station for me,” a third fan said, before adding, “Sorry can’t pay extra.”
HYPING UP THE SHOW
Ahead of the show’s premiere, Rachael shared a trailer to get everyone excited and to tease what viewers could expect to see.
“Welcome to Rachel Ray’s real kitchen,” a voiceover said as the TV personality stood inside her home.
“With all the chaos of a real kitchen, it’s not about making it perfect, it’s about making it delicious,” the narrator added.
As Rachael could be seen struggling to put the lid on a food processor, she joked, “Can you believe I have a cooking show?”
The teaser showed clips of Rachael working on a few different dishes to show off different recipes fans can make in minutes.
“Food you can make so quick it’ll free you up for more free time,” Rachael said at the end.
When announcing the end of her beloved talk show last year, Rachael explained that she planned to focus on other TV ideas.
“I’ve made the decision that it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career,” she told Deadline in a statement.
That included multiple new projects with A&E (the owner of FYI), including Meals in Minutes.
“Following the success of Rachael Ray’s Italian Dream Home, A+E Networks expands on its partnership with Rachael Ray, with a number of original series in the home and food space in development,” A&E announced in a press release.
