Outchef’d is coming back for another season, according to a press release from Warner Bros. Discovery.

Host Eddie Jackson will be back to surprise amateur home cooks with a challenge of a life time.

They think they are entering an audition, but are really going head-to-head with a world-renowned chef.

The home cook needs at least one vote from the judges, which Eddie picks off the street, to win $5,000.

This season, the home cook will also take home an extra $1,000 per vote they get.

The new season begins on May 30 at 9:30 ET/PT on Food Network.

Season 3 will have 12 episodes.

This season another twist is that Eddie will compete against a home cook in one episode and Ted Allen will host.

The other chefs competing against home cooks this season are Andrew Zimmern, Maneet Chauhan, Rocco Dispirito, Duff Goldman, Alex Guarnaschelli, Stephanie Izard, Antonia Lofaso, Jeff Mauro, Jet Tila, and Michael Voltaggio.

SHOCKED FANS

Reddit users shared the news on the platform and were shocked by the renewal.

“Surprised it was renewed. I got thru two episodes but couldn’t take it after that. So cringeworthy,” one user said.

“I like Eddie on all the cooking shows he’s either hosting or judging – except this one. The premise of finding supposed random people to come inside to judge someone’s cooking didn’t win me over. I did watch several episodes and enjoyed the actual cooking, but not the other segments,” said another.

“The format is poor,” added a third.

Another fans said that they only part of this show they like is seeing the professional cook.

RETURN OF ALEX

Alex Guarnaschelli will appear on Outchef’d after being fired from The Kitchen easlier this year.

The chef was removed from the show’s website a few weeks after not appearing on The Kitchen for quite some time.

Alex joined the cooking talk show in 2020 and was joined by co-hosts Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro, Katie Lee, Geoffrey Zakarian, and Marcela Valladolid.

The Kitchen premiere in 2014.

Her own show, Alex vs. America, has also not aired since last June.

Aside from Outchef’d Alex also appeared on Wildcard Kitchen, after her firing.

The show is hosted by Eric Adjepong, where he invites chefs to a high-stakes poker game.

Now, fans will get to see Alex on TV once more.
